Sarnia-Lambton has recorded another death because of COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Lambton Public Health<\/a> updated its website Monday night to report a total of 15 deaths in the community.<\/p>\n

The latest is linked to an outbreak at Vision Nursing Home in Sarnia<\/a>, where four residents and two staff members have tested positive for the virus. It\u2019s the first death reported since April 20.<\/p>\n

Lambton County, citing privacy restrictions, will only say the 15th victim was in their 80s and died Monday.<\/p>\n

Bluewater Health spokesperson Julia Oosterman said Tuesday that the latest death was not an in-hospital patient, and the death toll there remains at 14. The hospital reported<\/a> that nine people are still in hospital with the virus and 14 patients are suspected of having it with tests pending.<\/p>\n

There are three institutional outbreaks including Sarnia\u2019s Landmark Village retirement home and Sumac Lodge.<\/p>\n

The health unit said the number of positive cases is up by three to 192 while 121 people have now recovered from the virus.<\/p>\n

Lambton Public Health has received the results from 3,054 COVID-19 tests, of which 94 per cent have come back negative.<\/p>\n
