{"id":13697,"date":"2020-05-04T15:08:34","date_gmt":"2020-05-04T19:08:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/airpurifierspecialist.com\/store\/?p=13697"},"modified":"2020-05-18T12:55:34","modified_gmt":"2020-05-18T16:55:34","slug":"16-new-cases-of-covid-19-confirmed-in-barrie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/airpurifierspecialist.com\/store\/16-new-cases-of-covid-19-confirmed-in-barrie\/","title":{"rendered":"16 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Barrie"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-words=\"552\" id=\"details-body\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">There are 35 more cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the Simcoe-Muskoka region today, including nine cases related to long-term care outbreaks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In Barrie, there have been 16 more cases confirmed, seven of which are related to outbreaks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The outbreak-related cases include two women in their 70s, a woman in her 80s, a man and woman in their 60s, and a man and a woman in their 90s.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Currently, there are outbreaks declared in Barrie at Allandale Station Retirement Residence, Owen Hill Care Community, IOOF Seniors Homes, Woods Park Care Centre, and Whispering Pines Retirement Residence.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">There has also been a case reported in a man in his 90s from Tay, and that case is also related to a long-term care outbreak. The only facility in outbreak in Tay Township\u00a0is Bayview Retirement Home, which is located in Waubaushene.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The final outbreak-related case is a Bradford West Gwillimbury woman in her 90s.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The outbreaks declared in Bradford include Bradford Valley Community Care and an unnamed group home.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Dr. Charles Gardner, medical officer of health for the region, is due to provide an update and more details on the county&#8217;s seven long-term care facility outbreaks today at 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The other cases reported by Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit include (transmission is under investigation unless otherwise specified):\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Barrie: one woman in her 20s (close contact), woman in her 40s, man in his 80s, man in his 20s, woman in her 30s, woman in her 20s (community-acquired), woman in her 70s, and a man in his 30s (close contact). Orillia: man in his 60s (community-acquired), man in his 80s (community-acquired), and a woman in her 50s<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Severn: one woman in her 50s (close contact)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Bradford West Gwillimbury: male in his 10s (close contact), man in his 40s (community-acquired), woman in her 60s, man in his 40s (community-acquired), and a woman in her 50s (community-acquired)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Innisfil: woman in her 30s, man in his 50s (close contact), two men in their 20s (close contact)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Clearview: woman in her 20s (community-acquired)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Ramara: man in his 30s (community-acquired)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">New Tecumseth: man in his 70s (close contact), woman in her 60s<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">There have been 318 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the region, which includes 166 recoveries. The health unit has reported 20 deaths related to COVID-19, nine of which were residents at Bradford Valley Community Care.
