A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Parkview Meadows in Townsend.<\/p>\n

Two staff members at the long-term care facility have tested positive for the virus as of April 24, the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit said in a media release on Friday night.<\/p>\n

The staff members are in self-isolation at home.<\/p>\n

All residents have been tested and all results have been negative. \u201cThere are no residents who are currently sick with COVID-19,\u201d said the release.<\/span><\/p>\n

Residents are in self-isolation in their rooms. They receive their meals in their rooms.<\/p>\n

Staff wear full personal protective equipment at the facility.<\/p>\n

\u201cHealth unit staff have initiated a full public health management plan and are reaching out <\/span>to all close contacts of the positive cases,\u201d said the release.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the second long-term care facility in Haldimand County where an outbreak has been declared.<\/p>\n

Anson Place long-term care and retirement residence has had 27 COVID-19 related deaths as of Friday. The facility reports 45 residents have tested positive for the virus. Several staff have also tested positive.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/article>\n
