{"id":11730,"date":"2020-04-13T15:56:00","date_gmt":"2020-04-13T19:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/airpurifierspecialist.com\/store\/?p=11730"},"modified":"2020-05-25T11:30:46","modified_gmt":"2020-05-25T15:30:46","slug":"two-more-deaths-linked-to-covid-19-at-almonte-long-term-care-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/airpurifierspecialist.com\/store\/two-more-deaths-linked-to-covid-19-at-almonte-long-term-care-home\/","title":{"rendered":"Two more deaths linked to COVID-19 at Almonte long-term care home"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>OTTAWA &#8212;<br \/>\n\tTwo more residents have died from COVID-19 complications at an Almonte long-term care home.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe two deaths bring the total number of coronavirus related deaths at Almonte Country Haven to 16.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn a statement to residents\u2019 families, administrator Carolyn Della Foresta said \u201cmy heart goes out to the families and our entire care team as we grapple with these losses together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOn Sunday, officials had said there were 36 positive cases of COVID-19 at the 82-bed home in Almonte.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cThe health and safety of our residents is our number one priority and our staff continues to have full access to the appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) they require at all times,\u201d said Della Foresta.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cI am entirely confident in the abilities and knowledge of our staff and in the sufficiency of our staffing to meet resident needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe outbreak at Almonte Country Haven is the deadliest COVID-19 outbreak in eastern Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tDella Foresta says Almonte Country Haven is in contact with provincial and local health authorities several times a day to ensure the facility is following all directives and protocols.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOn Sunday, the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit reported there were 176 cases of COVID-19 in Leeds, Grenville and Lanark.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThere are outbreaks at six long-term care facilities in Leeds, Grenville and Lanark.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>        <a href=\"https:\/\/ottawa.ctvnews.ca\/staff-member-at-villa-marconi-long-term-care-home-tests-positive-for-covid-19-1.4893032\" title=\"Staff member at Villa Marconi long-term care home tests positive for COVID-19\">Staff member at Villa Marconi long-term care home tests positive for COVID-19<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>        <a href=\"https:\/\/ottawa.ctvnews.ca\/two-covid-19-deaths-at-carleton-place-long-term-care-home-1.4893076\" title=\"Two COVID-19 deaths at Carleton Place long-term care home\">Two COVID-19 deaths at Carleton Place long-term care home<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\tAt Stoneridge Manor Long Term Care Home in Carleton Place, 29 residents and 19 staff members have tested positive for COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOn Sunday, Revera said two residents of Stoneridge Manor had passed away with COVID-19.<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2>Correction:<\/h2>\n<p>\n\tThe Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit says there was a discrepancy in the way the number of cases data was extracted on the weekend. &#8220;It was not harmonize with the Ministry of Health reporting.
