Reports: 6 people who attended South Carolina funeral die from COVID-19

Six people who attended a funeral caught the coronavirus and died, according to a South Carolina coroner.Sumter County Coroner Robbie Baker told news outlets the deaths involved elderly, African American individuals.The State newspaper reported the Kershaw County funeral took place in the first week of March. Baker told the news outlet a large number of people congregated there and someone unknowingly spread it.According to WACH-TV, many of the people who attended the funeral are now self-quarantined.”They are people that lost their lives tragically,” Baker told the TV station.

Six people who attended a funeral caught the coronavirus and died, according to a South Carolina coroner.
