Kansas City area doctors among first in Midwest to use plasma treatment for COVID-19 patients

There was a new sign of progress in the battle against the coronavirus Monday as physicians with Research and Menorah Medical Centers became some of the first in the Midwest to transfuse plasma from a recovered patient into one who’s critically ill.
