Four more deaths in Waterloo Region have been linked to the coronavirus.
It means 98 people have now passed away.
One of the additional deaths was at Forest Heights Revera long-term care home, where 45 residents have died.
There was also another death at Victoria Place retirement home, while the two others reported on Thursday morning were not at a long-term care or retirement home.
The region is currently dealing with outbreaks at 12 of those facilities, as outbreaks have now been declared over at Chartwell Elmira, as well as Highland Place retirement home.
Meantime, there are 16 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 887, with 418 (47 per cent) of those considered resolved.
Regional officials will not be holding another news conference until Friday morning.
